"Food Is Love" Canned Food Drive
During the month of February, we will be coordinating the "Food is Love” canned food drive to benefit all of Cape Cod. Donations will be distributed through the Harwich Family Pantry and the Falmouth Service Center.
A collection box is set-up at the locations below and we hope to collect many canned protein items such as tuna, ham and beans. During the months of February, March and April, the food pantries are very lean, but it’s also the time of greatest need.
So drop off an item or 2 this month – we’ll be collecting through Thursday, February 25th.
If you can assist with a monetary donation, “virtual” shopping bags have been set-up through the CCYP where a $10 or $25 donation can be made. 100% of the funds collected will be split between the 2 centers.
Thanks to our friends at Nauset DIsposal for the donations bins!

About the CCYP Community Action Team (CAT)
The purpose of the CAT is to: Provide organized and strategic community involvement opportunities to: (1) strengthen connections between members, (2) recruit new members, (3) generate new volunteer resources for local non-profit organizations and (4) screen and channel requests of outside organizations looking to engage with CCYP.
Volunteers: If you are interested in volunteering to either sit on the committee or volunteer for community involvement events, please contact Danielle McPhee by clicking here
Non-Profit Groups: The CCYP CAT is actively looking for volunteer opportunities that fit within the identified topics of interest for the CCYP members. Other non-profit partnerships will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
If your group has specific project that you would like the CCYP group to be involved in, please complete our Non-Profit Partner Profile Form.
The goal of the CCYP CAT is to create a partnership with the non-profit partners. We encourage non-profts to become a member of the CCYP and actively engage their employees in the group. Click Here for Non-Profit sign-up.
